Space Age

You know we love the mid-century, so we are absolutely pumped for the Eero Saarinen exhibit at the National Building Museum. I saw an exhibit solely dedicated to his chairs whilst living in Scandinavia and it was quite inspiring, so I can only imagine that this retrospective will be awesome!

This is totally worth going to see. The exhbibition spaces aren't exactly huge but the retrospective was chock full of pics, info, great documentaries (great one by Charles Guggenheim about the St Louis Gateway Arch), and , of course, the rad furniture! The span of his work and contributions is impressive.

yes, the exhibit is one of the best there in years. the womb chair is classic. and its still on sale at some luxe furniture galleries.

the st louis arch documentary is an award winning one.
