Food Friday: Orange You Glad

I am over buying stumpy, wet, too-bright orange carrots crammed artlessly into a plastic bag. It is an inappropriate and un-American thing to do, and entirely disrespecful to this nutrient-rich root! Now that I think about it, I am so mad I could crush spices in a resealable plastic bag and then simmer them with minced garlic, orange juice, coriander and sliced carrots to create a sweet, simple, earthy dish of epicly healthy proportions!

If you couldn't tell, this blog is in my google reader. Hence all the comments. Okay - try this. I've made it three times in past few months and it is SO good. And you can save all the carrot shavings to make your own broth.
